Four Train Stations Arrangement for Public Interest

Hopefully, there will be no traffic constraints around station area

Millions of Jakartans commute from their homes in the suburbs to the city center and back again on a daily basis, yet many of them preferring to use their own cars rather public transportation.

Therefore, to make them comfort in using public transportation, the Jakarta Provincial Government has collaborated with the PT MRT Jakarta and the PT KAI, to arrange Juanda, Senen, Tanah Abang and Sudirman stations through a Short-Term Action Plan (Quick Win) on January 10, 2020.

Transjakarta Achieves More Than a Million Passengers Per Day

Jakarta Transportation Agency Head Syafrin Liputo said the project goal is to prioritize convenient intermodal integration and prioritizing safety, thus it is expected to encourage increased use of public transportation in Jakarta and its surrounding areas.

"Hopefully, there will be no traffic constraints around station area thus train users (around 1.2 million people) and land transportation vehicles (around 980 thousand people) can feel comfortable," he explained.
